In order to disclose the vision of the Company and its subordinate companies, the expectations and achievement of target social and environmental goals, VIPA has followed the Corporate Social Responsibility Policy (hereinafter – the Policy) approved on 25 November 2020. This Policy presents a detailed definition of VIPA’s social and market responsibilities, environmental guidelines and processes, responsibilities in relations with employees and the society, which aim to establish a harmonious and sustainable work culture and practice of the company.

Responsibility in the market

In conducting its activities, VIPA pursues complementarity, therefore, in pursuit of transparency and accountability at the company, it keeps accounts with great responsibility, regularly posting financial statements and reports on activities of the implementation of strategic activities on its website, publishing information for anti-corruption policy purposes in order to allow target groups and the public to assess the company’s activities, its environmental impact, relations with employees and the society. VIPA’s employees follow the approved corruption prevention policy and the code of ethics of employees.

Responsibility in environmental protection

In creating its financial products, VIPA ensures that environmental aspects are reflected in financial instruments provided and in other products. The company does not finance projects if it determines during an environmental assessment that they contradict Lithuania’s obligations under various international environmental agreements. Projects may be subjected to additional environmental performance standards and monitoring requirements. Taking into account the priorities and interests of target groups, VIPA and companies managed thereby search and offer financial instruments in the environmental sector, which includes modernization of multi-apartment buildings, water management, energy saving or transition to renewable resources, etc. The company also promotes employee education and awareness by initiating and implementing environmental protection measures in the work environment.

Energy efficiency and environmental indicators

Since 2021 VIPA has introduced a methodology for measuring energy efficiency and environmental indicators, which will reflect the annual dynamics of the planned indicators in the long run:

Responsibility in relations with employees.

VIPA creates an organizational culture based on values and advocates equal rights and equal opportunities for employees regardless of gender, ethnic origin, race, nationality, social status, age, disability, religious beliefs, political views or sexual orientation. Harassment, psychological violence, bullying or abuse of position are not tolerated at work. The approved Code of Ethics of Employees regulates the implementation of these provisions. The aim is to create attractive working conditions in terms of working hours, rest, holidays, occupational safety and health, secured maternity / paternity, ensuring a proper balance between work and family relations. Therefore, the work environment is regularly analysed and improved. In order to achieve the goals which the company has been subjected to, employee opinions polls are conducted in periodic individual interviews. Employees receive the same salary for the same or equivalent work. Salary for candidates or existing employees is set on the basis of objective criteria related to skills, competences, qualifications, experience and knowledge of employees.

Responsibility in relations with the society

Detailed VIPA’s activity reports and strategic business plans are published here to target groups and the society. Pursuant to the Law on Charity and Support of the Republic of Lithuania and the Support Provision Procedure, the company regularly provides support to social, educational, artistic, cultural and research projects, national sports, cultural, research and social projects which emphasize and promote matters that are important to the state and meet the eligibility criteria laid down in the Support Provision Procedure. Support is also provided by joining national campaigns initiated by the Office of the President of the Republic of Lithuania, state institutions or national movements. Information on the support provided by the company is published on its website. Voluntary involvement of employees in community service activities is also encouraged.
